The A1 Pits/Tailor Made Baits League Competition 2007 has now come to an end. Huge congratulations to Clive, who ran away with the competition with a massive 361 points. Most of his haul was caught over a 3 or 4 week period on pit 3, taking several 20lb carp and a lot of upper doubles to back them up. Well done Clive, excellent angling fella!
Clive wins himself 20kg Tailor Made Baits of A1 boilies and 10kg of CSL Pellets for his efforts!
Runners up were: tommo, with 210 points (in just a couple of trips to pit 6!), and John32, with 152 points, again solely from pit 6 but a little more steadily caught throughout the year! Well done you guys.
Thank you to all those who participated, congratulations to those who won monthly prizes too, and look out for another competition for 2008... details soon.

Steve is now selling bait, provided by "The Bait Kichen" on-site. Currently available is:
Catch writes "Steve reports over 50 fish gracing the banks in the last week or so including fish of 34lb 7oz, 34lb 4oz and Steve's own 33lb12oz Common off the top from 6. Pit 5's managed fish topped by 33lb and 31lb. Pit 4's done a 27lb+. Pit 3's done plenty of fish too, and has seen no more losses. Pit 2's been a bit slower as they've started spawning in there so lets leave em to it for a few days whilst it's warm eh?
Some good fish then from all pits, looks like this warm weather's got em munching... get in there lads ;)

17lb 10 oz common and a 20lb common caught on a 24hr session on pit 6 single baits seem to be the key, and fishing at distance both runs came within 20 mins of each other

Anonymous writes "Hi All, Had a bit of a social on pit 3 over the weekend, had a few liners but nothing developed. As I was packing up I saw a few on the top in pit 4 so put a few mixers out. The odd fish had a look so out came the floater gear, (I don't need to be asked twice). 1st cast resulted in a nice looking little common of 13.08. That was my first fish of the year so well chuffed, maybe see you all again. Damo."
Steve's calledto say things have been looking up this week with 7 fish coming out of 6 within 36hours including fish of 27lb, 25lb and 2 of 24lb+. Pit 5 remains quiet, as it usually does for until it's a little warmer. Pit 4 - a 17lb fish was taken off the top by a new visitor to the venue. Pit 3 has started doing a few fish too.
Steve would also liketo remind you that the gates close at 7pm, if you're arriving or leaving you need to adhere to the gate times. Several anglers are arriving late or leaving late and expecting Steve to come and open up. Please make sure you're punctual in future lads.
More news as it's made....
